Commercial Ventilation Services
You don’t usually notice ventilation until it’s not working. A meeting room that feels thick with air by 11am. Windows steaming up in the office kitchen. That stale smell that never quite clears, no matter how many times you open a window. Small signs, but they point to a bigger issue with how air is moving through your building. Left unchecked, it can affect everything from staff wellbeing to the fabric of the property itself.
We’ve been installing and maintaining ventilation systems for commercial clients across Bristol and the South West for years. Offices, shops, schools, care settings, restaurants and bars, we’ve worked in most types of buildings you can think of, and our engineers hold City & Guilds certification to back up the practical experience. We don’t believe in fitting the same system into every building and calling it a day. Every space breathes differently, so we look at how yours is actually used before recommending anything.
If you’re kitting out a new office, wrestling with an old system in a period building, or you’ve finally decided to deal with a ventilation problem you’ve been putting off, get in touch. We cover Bristol, Swindon and the wider South West, so chances are we already know your area.
Types of Ventilation Services We Install
There’s no single “right” ventilation system. It depends on the building, how it’s used, and what problem you’re trying to solve. Here’s what we typically install for commercial clients in Bristol:
Fresh air systems. These draw filtered outdoor air in and push stale indoor air out, keeping CO₂ and moisture levels down. Particularly useful in offices, where the same air can end up recycled through a room full of people for hours at a time.
Air filtration. If you’re near a busy road, running an industrial process that kicks up dust, or you just want a noticeably cleaner working environment, filtration systems catch particulates and allergens before they circulate.
Heat recovery ventilation (MVHR/HRV). Arguably the most efficient option out there. It pulls the warmth from outgoing stale air and uses it to pre-heat incoming fresh air, so you get better air quality without your heating bill climbing. A lot of businesses come to us specifically for this.
Extraction systems. Kitchens, bathrooms, plant rooms, workshops, these spaces have their own extraction rules, often tied directly to building regs. We design around those requirements rather than treating them as an afterthought.
Ductwork. Even the best unit underperforms if the ductwork’s been badly planned. We route duct runs to cut down on noise, resistance and wasted energy, and we try to work with your existing layout rather than ripping through it unnecessarily.
Whatever the size of the job, whether that’s a single office fit-out or a full commercial development, the system gets specified around your building, not the other way round.
THE FULL PACKAGE
Ventilation Maintenance & Servicing
Ventilation systems are on for most of the working day, every day. That kind of workload takes its toll, and a system left to its own devices doesn’t just get less efficient. Instead it can start pushing dust and stale air right back around the building, which is the opposite of what it’s there for.
Our servicing is built to catch problems early rather than fix them after the fact. A typical visit covers:
- A full inspection, checking for wear, damage or anything that looks like it’s heading toward a fault
- Cleaning ductwork, grilles and diffusers where dust and debris tend to build up
- Filter checks and swaps. A blocked filter is probably the single most common cause of poor airflow, and the easiest to prevent
- Airflow testing, to make sure the system’s actually delivering what your space needs
- Checking and replacing components like fans, motors, belts and bearings before small wear turns into an expensive breakdown
- Setting up a proper maintenance schedule, so servicing happens on a cycle instead of only when something’s gone wrong
Get this right and your equipment lasts longer, runs more cheaply, and keeps you on the right side of the air quality standards for your sector. We’ll build a schedule that suits your business. This can be quarterly for a busy kitchen or venue, and annually for a quieter office setup.
Why Choose Coolstream for Ventilation Services?
We’re a family-run business, and our reputation across Bristol and the South West has been built job by job, referral by referral. We’ve handled everything from a single office install to large commercial fit-outs, so there’s a good chance we’ve already dealt with whatever’s going on in your building.
We won’t oversell you a system you don’t need. Our job is to listen, work out what your space actually requires, and get that installed properly. Then keep it running the way it should. And if something’s not right further down the line, we’re the ones who pick up the phone, not the ones who go quiet after the invoice has been sent.
Don’t just take our word for it. Read what our clients have to say on our reviews page.
